Extremely satisfying crunch wraps. Had the salmon one at Harmonic brewing and it totally hit the spot.

Imagine if Korean food crossed over on a boat and settled down in Capitol hill and assimilated into the culture of the place! That's the food you get @ Trove. Do they serve shrub soda? Yes. Do they have music playing in the background? yes Do they serve complimentary things? yes Do the servers talk to you nicely and not insult your food choice or not get annoyed when you ask them questions? Hell Yes!! It was a particularly warm summer evening in Seattle and as we walked in we saw an ice cream truck looking mural at the entrance of the restaurant (Yelp says it's their ice cream window but it was closed when we went there) The restaurant is divided into front, the middle which seems like their bar/room with an interesting volcano mural and the back. We got seated at the back since it was too hot in the front (close to the kitchen). I learnt about Shrub soda (which is a Seattle flavored soda thing) and we got Rhubarb shrub soda. Apparently, the 'shrub' keeps changing so you may want to check with your server. A friendly served seated and got our drinks order and we were served complimentary cold soup to beat the summer heat as they put it. It was clear kimchee based soup(or so I thought) but it was a little too salty for my taste. My friends enjoyed it though. Appetizer: We got Kimchee pancake. Much unlike regular ones, this was a little cheesy. Not exactly the OJ kimchee pancake but I loved their cheesy rendition of it. Our server, got us some sauces that are served with BBQ, which according to her go well with the pancake. She was not wrong about that tip ;) Entrees: We got their spinach noodles and drunken noodles. The drunken noodles were very flavorful. Good portion size and the meat was juicy and delicious. I loved the peanut crunch in it. My friend got Spinach noodles with pork belly. The noodles has spinach in it, so did the sauce. The flavor was unique and I was impressed with it. We were too full for the desserts, may be next time. My friends had come here before and they recommended we go here. I can imagine people who were expecting authentic Korean food be slightly disappointed by it, but I was very happy with my food and experience here.

Disclaimer: this review is only based on the frozen custard treats! :) This place is SUPER cool! It's a 4 in one type of restaurant! In the front, right there is a cute little food truck that serves frozen custard treats, to left there's a ramen bar, as you walk in there's a bar and in the back there's Korean BBQ! What an interesting concept! I personally have yet to try their ramen and Korean BBQ because every time I've come it's late at night. The first time I came here I immediately fell in love! They have very creative parfaits with tons of toppings in it and even a cute mason jar to take home with you. The first time I had Cracker Jacks & Frozen Hot Chocolate. Both were DELICIOUS! The cracker jack one had caramel custard with caramel popcorn, candied nuts, and chocolate crumble at the bottom. The frozen hot chocolate had homemade marshmallows, chocolate custard, and chocolate crunch in it! This most recent time they had a little more exotic flavors that all of us weren't really sure about. We opted for the Sweet Potato Pie and the Chai One On. The Sweet Potato Pie had sweet potato flavored custard, streusel, and candied pecans. I liked this one better than the chai one but still was an interesting flavor combo. The Chai One On was definitely too strong for me. It had chai flavored custard, chocolate cake, poached pears, and chocolate tempura. The chai flavor is very strong so you gotta really like chai. The pears were also very strong. The chocolate cake was super rich and fudgy. I think this one had too many strong flavors going on for me. Honestly, this place was a hit or miss for me. I loved all the flavors the first time and none the second time. I do hope to be back to try their ramen and Korean BBQ! :)

Their jar desserts are delicious not to mention the jar is adorableeee. I held onto it for plant purposes. (Such a win-win) The flavors do change out so coming here is always different. I had the raspberry w pop rocks- such a weird combo but not bad at all. The service was quick and nice, and there's an entire back area if you're trying to get some fusion food.

What the what!? This place has all the dynamite craving foods and it has a low Yelp rating?! I dug the vibe here, the different food/drink areas, and the view was pretty rad too. I was so ready for some NOODLES! I have been wanting to try this place since a friend of mine told me about it, shout out to DANA! I was so ready to have one of those sweet parfaits first but definitely waited to eat a bit first. It was pretty late on a Saturday night but everyone was at a Seahawks game, lucky us. We went for the pad thai with chili peanuts, smashed cucumber, and the kimchi pork dumplings. The pad thai had great spicy flavor and tons of green yu choy to break it up. The dumplings were good, but they could have been cooked a little longer. However, the chili oil sauce was delicious and made the dish. I'm glad we had the smashed cucumbers because it brought a fresh element to all the noodles we were scarfing. We then moved onto dessert, and we were torn between a few. We asked the waiter about sampling a few flavors, and he brought us the peanut butter and the mexican chocolate frozen custard. It was SO hard to choose because they both were really good. The peanut butter was a solid peanut butter taste without excess sugar and the Mexican chocolate was rich and had a spicy element. The Hot Chocolate parfait concoction called to me and I went with that one. That little mason jar was LOADED. This parfait was half full of Mexican chocolate frozen custard, then the other half was whipped cream, chocolate pieces broken on top, homemade marshmallows and oreo cookie crumble on the bottom. Each freaking bite made me so happy. I had to dig to the bottom to make sure the custard hit the whip and the cookie crumble. I haven't had a dessert like this and it definitely needs some kind of trophy.
